This is an estimate, not tax advice

The figures are computed from the Income Tax Act 2058 and the Finance Act for the year you select. They are accurate to those rules and to the inputs you give — they are not a filing, an assessment, or professional advice.

Your employer's payroll may reach a different number for reasons this site cannot see: allowances treated differently, benefits in kind, one-off payments, mid-year changes, or a fund arrangement that is not one of the ones modelled here. Where the two differ, your payslip and the Inland Revenue Department are authoritative and this page is not.

Before you file, sign, or negotiate on the strength of a number here, check it with a registered accountant.

What you may do with it

  • Use it, for anything, free, without an account and without asking.
  • Quote the figures and the explanations, including in articles and answers, with a link back to the page you took them from.
  • Send share links to colleagues, candidates or employees.

What we ask in return is only this: do not present the output as a formal tax computation, and do not strip the caveat when you quote it. A number without its assumptions is how people get hurt.

Availability and changes

The site is offered as it is, with no promise that it will be available, uninterrupted or error-free. Tax rules change; when they do, the figures here change with them, and a page you saw last year may no longer say the same thing.

To the extent the law allows, NepalHRM is not liable for loss arising from reliance on these figures. That is not a disclaimer we hide behind — if you find an error, tell us and we will fix it — but a free public calculator cannot carry the risk of your filing.

Privacy

Covered separately, and briefly: nothing you type is sent anywhere. See the privacy page.
